The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff Officially Announced!

EA Games has officially announced Mansion & Garden Stuff Pack today, so the previous rumors has been confirmed. Mansion & Garden Stuff will most probably be the last stuff pack for The Sims 2 games.

What can you expect? Garden stuff such as new flower beds, shrubs, sunflowers or even new build mode tools in three new styles (Moroccan, Art Deco ans Second Empire).

See pictures and read more in the official report:

Design impressive estates and meticulous gardens for your Sims with three all-new styles. Infuse your Sims’ mansion with the intricate beauty of new Moroccan designs, add a touch of retro-modern style with stately and new Art Deco elements, or build in the imposing new Second Empire style. With a host of new architectural and landscaping items to choose from, your Sims homes will look more stunning than ever!

Features

  • Re-create your Sims homes into luxurious mansions. New items including exotic columns that create stunning new archways, chic ceiling fans that add an element of cool, or sweeping grand staircases that make a bold statement.
  • Completely reinvent your Sims’ gardens with a colorful foundation of flower beds and shrubs including delicate irises, cheerful daylilies, and bright sunflowers.
  • Choose from three new themes to re-imagine and re-make the exteriors of your Sims’ estates.
  • Moroccan-Transform your Sims’ homes into imposing Moroccan palaces with lush Mediterranean gardens.
  • Art Deco-Build luxury estates that are classic yet bold with this glamorous “Old Hollywood” style.
  • Second Empire-Create grand manors and sculpted landscapes with this romantic and elegant theme.

New Items

  • Choose from a variety of bold sculptures, fountains, and topiaries to add an artistic element to your Sims’ relaxing garden hideaway.
  • Architectural elements include solar panels as well as all new windows, doors, roofs, and fencing to build the mansion of your Sims’ dreams.

I don’t necessarily think I’m going to buy this one. It’s so rare that I even buy stuff packs and that one isn’t really offering that much. Just gardening stuff and some staircases and stuff…

Sims wallpapers are a bit naff. The castle ones especially. Why no spiral staircases in 2? Roofs need to be better designed and I want to be able to use walls on an angle. you can never get the curtains on windows at an angle. otherwise its great. Hope there are better staircases in the new stuff pack.

Looks very interesting will certainly purchase it i have all the others, why are they saying this will most likely be the last, because of Sims3??

By pat on 10.01.08 4:05 pm

Pat, you’re right, it’s probably because The Sims 3 is coming and EA Games will no longer be interested in making new EPs for The Sims 2 – it will get old just like The Sims 1 did.

By charlie on 10.28.08 11:02 pm

12??? You need to be older than twelve to play! never mind, you must be a real fan to disobey the law.

i love sims but i dont now if i really do want this one it isnt to different and gardens were never to important to me

By jaco on 11.09.08 6:18 am

*no abusing, please!* …it’s not against the law as long as the parents aprrove it it’s fine. I’m sure if a 10 year old walked up to a cop and said i like to play sims 2 no one would care.
