Things You Don’t Expect: Bigger Bandwidth, More Visits and Lower PageRank
Yesterday I received a mail from my hosting service, GoDaddy, that I reached my hosting limit for the last month. It was above 300 GB, which seemed a little too much for me. First I though that someone could be just so “nice” to hotlink a lot of pictures – but it would have to be a big site and non such site (with let’s say about 50,000 visits a day) is linking at me.
So, it seems to be ok that I’ve reached the limit and had to pay for new hosting. But it wasn’t as bad as I thought – $23 was amount I’m able to pay basically anytime (I thought it would cost much more). The good news is that now the limit is 1 terabite and if it won’t be enough, the next level is unlimited hosting which costs only $7 to upgrade. I would never think that storing pictures was so demanding, lol!
Another good news is – and I have no idea how that happened – that Spring4Sims had 4000+ visits in the last three days. Now that’s quite a lot. Especially when I checked my PageRank and found out that my site has had PageRank 3 and now has PageRank 2. I think it’s due some sites that has been closed.
