The Tragic End of the Wolff Family
Sad, terrible news. I was just playing for the Altos (and Gilbert, since he’s just married Holly Alto) and was about to get back to the Wolffs, when the phone started ringing. I ignored the call, because everyone in the house was sleeping, and then I got an info message that Thornton Wolff has drowned in his own swimming pool.

I though: Oh how sad, look how terrible can the Story Progression mess with your Sims. But since I’ve a bigger crush on Morgana than on Thornton, I thought it wasn’t such terrible loss. After all, they had five kids already (Morgana’s Lifetime Wish is to raise five kids to teens). But then I checked their big modern mansion and found out the whole family is gone!
Now that’s really bad news!
I thought they might just move somewhere, since the Story Progression allows that, but I checked Sims who were friends with the Wolffs and they didn’t have any of them in their friends list. That’s very strange. Seems like the whole family drowned in the pool, not just Thornton.
Well, first I though it would be okay not to have them in the Sunset Valley, but they were the super-modern posh family of the whole town. There’s no family like this. The Altos are mean and evil, the Langraabs are gold diggers and the Goths are simply… old-fashioned I guess?
Anyways, this is not cool. I’m going to get them back at all costs!

Whoa, that is strange! I’m sorry to hear that the whole family disappeared. I wonder what on earth happened. Are you just using the regular EA Story Progression?

I would love the sims 3 but personally I think that right now its in major suck mode – I mean really, if you had to go back to playing the VERY first sims 2 game isn’t it boring? I just think that they’re doing exactly what they did with the sims 2 and I hope they make a pets expansion because I love the way the sims look, but I wonder how the animals would look? Probably awesome. — Oh and has anyone else noticed that Rissa Styles has been offline forever? Do they know? Is there anyway someone can contact them and ask, whats going on? Cause I would love some new sims 2 hairs haha.

Yes, regular EA Story Progression. I have them back already — I created a new Sunset Valley and saved the household to Family Bin. There were no graveyards, I thought I might use ambrosia first…

I don’t like EA Story Progression for just this reason. It’s so irrational, and you really can’t play more than one family at a time. Bad Stuff always happens to families that you are not currently playing. If you don’t want to use Awesomemod (which stomps behaviour like Sims randomly moving out of town and disappearing from the game), I would recommend Twallan’s Story Progression. It is far superior to EA’s and doesn’t cause people to randomly move. It has a whole lot of tuneable functions and allows you to have a neighborhood where the all the other sims seem to be living their lives in interesting ways.

i am very sorry to hear this. it is the main reason i will not play Sims 3 as they killed off one of my best families in the first two weeks i had the game. Don’t know what happened to them they just disappeared.

and you can put out Nraas mod and it has no consequences. But you can’t delete awesome mod (from what I’ve heard)
