Spring4Sims – The Best Finds, Downloads & Hints for Your Sims

Here comes another site that’s going to be inactive, how sad. Mimi owner has just lost all her files and doesn’t feel like playing anymore at all.

I think this happened to many people already and there were some that managed to get back. We’ll see if this will be the case, I really hope so.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, guys! It’s really helped me to decide how to organize my downloads. In the end, I’ve decided to organize by the type of custom content. I try to avoid having too many folders as I don’t like browsing custom content through so many sub-folders. I kept the original folder organized by artists, though. Maybe I change my mind later, who knows, but hopefully this will work well for me.

I also packed the .sims3package files with Sims 3 Package Editor. It has reduced the size to half, which is really cool. Now I only have abou 350 MB of downloads and the loading is a little faster. My game keeps lagging a lot, though. My computer isn’t the fastest, it also seems I have some sort of malware that keeps my CPU busy. I’m planning to re-install Windows and all my games again, even though I really hate to. The game even crashed once when there was a strike in front of the City Hall–too many Sims on one place is a bad thing for my game right now. When I’m in the Build or Buy Mode, it runs very smooth. Too bad I forgot to save my game. Grrr. I was just playing for Agyness Crumplebottom and reconstructed her house. I can start from the scratch now. But it’s not that bad, I’m sure I’ll get everything done again pretty fast.

My question is: What did you do last time you played the game?

Mackat was challenged to decorate a house in shabby chic style. What a perfect idea to try it in France! She did a great job, make sure you check out the rest of the house.

Just in case you haven’t seen the latest Beatdoc’s creation, take a look now. The girl can pick hell of a good colors and textures for everything. It’s really great for those of us who need some inspiration.

Just because I love her decorating skills so much, I have to go and share with you. You have to check out Beatdoc’s finished school for The Sims 3. It’s just amazing, beautiful and realistically-looking, but still something that matches the game’s environment. So, go and take a look!

Here we go! Like we havn’t really had too much drama in the community already, right? The Sims Resource strikes again, contacts GoDaddy, which is the host of GOS and takes the site down. Because they are “redistributing copyrighted content”.

I’m not a hater of TSR although I don’t usually download CC from there but this is ridiculous. A big “company” like this should know that making other people angry won’t help their renown. Well, TSR never learns. Too bad for them, too bad.

I think I’m slightly obsessed with Beatdoc’s lots and skills. She does such amazing buildings and they look so real! Her last project is a Private School for Sunset Valley. It’s not available for download, but check it out, it’s really amazing.
