Hey guys, I’m sorry to say there will probably be no new updates for a few days. I have just brought my computer to my boyfriend’s and we plan to re-install Windows. I should also get 2 GB of RAM and new harddisk. Yay! There was some older hardware he doesn’t need right now so we’re upgrating my computer. You can barely imagine how happy that makes me feel. I had almost no space on my harddisk and I think that’s the main reason why I couldn’t save my games most of the time (Error 12). Hopefully a fresh new start will be the right thing before I get my hands on Showtime. Wish me luck and I’ll see you very soon with new goodies on my site.
It took just a little over month to finish the donation drive for this year–that’s pretty amazing, right? My biggest thanks goes to all 16 hearty donators who have helped me to fund Spring4Sims’ hosting and domain. Even though my site is a personal hobby, I believe it brings a little joy to The Sims community. While I could and I definitely would pay all the fees, your help has really helped me. For that you all have my gratitude.
You can view the original post for Donation Drive 2012 with all donators here. Don’t forget that you can help Spring4Sims by donating anytime thorough the year (the money will be always used for hosting, domain and maintaince), while there are another three ways to help my site even without money.
Thank you very much again!
Because it’s Valentine’s Day, I’m going to share a few pictures that I’ve taken in my game a long time ago. I made something in my game that might seem almost impossible: found a partner for both Claire Ursine and Cycl0ne Sw0rd–by simply getting them together! I believe they’re the two most annoying Sims in Sunset Valley, although I have to admit Claire’s got a little cuter when she lost some of her weight. Somehow together they create a nice couple though.
So what do you think, are they a good match? Also, are you celebrating Valentine’s Day this year? Me and my boyfriend never do, so I wanted us to have some chocolate fondue for change, but it didn’t work out because he’s a little sick. Well, maybe next time. Hope you guys have a good one, though.
Yes, my dear fellow Simmers, The Sims games has been around for 12 years now and I’m happy and proud to say I’ve been surrounded by the game since the first moment they hit the shelves. The time flies so fast and it’s really hard to believe that I’ve been playing this game for more than half of my life now. In fact, it’s a little depressing… Anyways, I’ll leave you with this cute iconography–just click the picture to enlarge.
How are you celebrating? Are you playing the game today, what’s been happening in your ‘hood or world? Let me know in the comments! As for me, I need a new computer (or at least a few parts) to make it work again. It will take a while to get there, but hopefully things will turn around for me as well.
I would like to thank everyone who’s donated so far, you guys are really awesome! I’m sure you’ve noticed the donation drive is almost halfway up, as for today we have raised $57.00 out of $121.00. The Sims community has never failed to amaze me in so many ways and this is one of them. You can’t possibly understand how grateful I am for helping me pay for the hosting. I promise to bring a lot of good finds to you!
Also, I’ve listed all the donators in the original post and included the sum of money they donated and their country (no names, of course). Thank you so much again!
P.S.: In case you’re considering donating, find out why to donate and how you can help Spring4Sims in this post.

Yes, it’s that time of year when I’m asking for your help. In fact, I haven’t asked for it in the past one and half year. I thought I would take the bills in my hands and just not bother anyone. Unfortunately, things are no longer the same and I need to pay the bills for Spring4Sims’ hosting and domain.
As much as I don’t like it, I’ve decided to start a donation drive for year 2012. The bed news is I need to pay $121.00 for hosting and domain. The good news is that a one year payment is cheaper than monthly fees ($9.59 / month + $11.99 domain). Asking for money has never been my thing and I hope my readers know that I would not compromise the donations for my personal expenses. (I have no proof, just a solid conscience.)
If you’d like to donate, you can use the Donate button in the left sidebar. However, I encourage you not to donate more than $10.00. Why? Simply because I don’t see the reason why anyone should pay a big sum of money as long as more people can donate smaller amounts.
Do your Sims do this too?
Holly Alto (now Jacquet): “OMG, a head of garlic. Like my husband likes to say: c’est très magnifique! I’m so going to eat it right now!”
And that stare on her face. My Sims never fail to amaze me.
We have some new drama in our community: the boycott of The Sims 3.
So, apparently some folks have become full of the glitches in The Sims 3 and have decided to boycott the game. They won’t buy any expansion packs or stuff packs, they won’t support the game in any way and they want EA Games to act–now! They also encourage others to write a few nice words to EA Games about how their games are full of crap.
Honestly, I get the point but it seems somewhat meaningless to me. Don’t get me wrong, I get a lot of bugs, too, but I don’t think that this kind of attitude will change something–if anything–for better.
As for me, I’m not joining. Are you?
