Spring4Sims – The Best Finds, Downloads & Hints for Your Sims

Hey guys, the last week and so of no updates was not necessarily planned. Well, I’ve decided to take some holiday last Thoursday and take a few days off, but some really unpretty flu/whatever struck me and instead of having fun, I had to lie in the bed for a week. Luckily, it seems to be gone. I’ll have to take things easily for a while but that didn’t stop me from doing some finds for this week. Hope you’ll enjoy! Just letting you know I’ve just browsed all emails in my mailbox and updated links I’ve collected either from you or from what I’ve found. So, The List of The Sims 2 Sites and List of The Sims 3 Sites are both updated now. If you don’t see your site there, leave me a comment and I will add a link to your site! Also, please note I didn’t reply any of the emails because there’s been too many of them and I was already too late to read them… yes, I need to check that mailbox more frequently. Sorry!

Sorry for the lack of updates last few days, guys. It’s been so hot in here and I barely can sit behind my computer to work all day, because it produces even more warmth and it doesn’t help at all that my room is in the mansard roof and tends to be the hottest in the whole house…

I haven’t really been playing The Sims 3 for the last couple of weeks, perhaps because I was all excited about the new games I’ve just got: Tropico 3 and Tropico 3 Absolute Power (an expansion pack). The game is really great and so much fun, if you like strategies, definitely go check it out. I really like the idea of being a dictator of a banana island, making good and bad or even selfish decisions for my small island. The game makes fun of USA and USSR in the Cold War and I have to say I enjoy it quite a lot since I come from a post-communistic country. Enough said, just make sure you take a look if you don’t know the game at all!

But don’t think I’ve been neglecting my game that much! I’ve been downloading new stuff, organizing my Mods folder and pretty much deleting stuff I had but wasn’t really happy with in the game. It’s quite time-consuming I have to say. Apart from that, I finally received the The Sims 3 Amitions Prima Game Guide and it’s so helpful! I’m slowly digging through it and figuring some stuff before playing as I’ve found out sometimes it works for me much better this way. I don’t have all the time I used to have to try everything at once, so this way I choose the things I want to try the first and then pay attention to other stuff.

Also, I’ve been thinking about doing a small challege for you all. Do you have your room decorated with any Sims-themed objects? Or do you have your collection of the games nicely displayed on your shelves to show them proudly off? I thought it might be fun to see each other’s room with some odds and ends from The Sims. I have recently put a big poster of Sunset Valley on my wall and there’s a Plumbob USB hanging right down from my lamp… and of course, the games are lying around my desk with the guides. So would you be interested in showing your pictures? I though I could post them here at Spring4Sims and turn them into a show case. I just need to know if anyone would be willing to participate.

Hard week and too many things to do in real life. Sorry guys, I have to tak a few days off again. Meanwhile, keep playing Ambitions and don’t neglect your Sims as much as I do.

Oh yes, I finally have Ambitions, the Commemorative Edition is really fancy so I’ll sure write about it soon. I only played the game for 15 minutes, gave a small makeover to one of the local stylists at Twinbrook and that was it. Apart from the fact that I know I can’t play the game right now I feel the game has added pretty lot of new stuff and it makes me feel lost. I really need the Prima Game Guide.

Lately I’ve noticed I have less and less time to sink deep into details before release of new Sims games. I really have to do something with it, it’s making me feel uncomfortable since I love the game so much… Maybe some better time management? GTD might work, or so I’ve heard (any recommendations?).

Anyways, I’ll be back as soon as possible (one never knows with me, maybe even tomorrow). Take care and Sim well!

I need to take a few days off of making daily finds, I’m so busy at the moment with exams. But when it’s over I’ll be the happiest person in the world. The new expansion pack, Ambitions, is coming out on June 1st. I’ve already ordered High-End Loft Stuff, I couldn’t resist anymore. Oh and I’ll be making new posts most likely about my Sims these few day. And there will be one or two ’special’ posts so make sure to come back again. Meanwhile have fun Simming!

Phew, how could the last week pass so quickly? I barely realized it’s the weekend again. I’ve been meaning to thank to all my generous donators who donated to S4S, you cannot imagine how much help it is for me. Last few months have been pretty hard and I was working my butt off to at least pay all the bills. If things were slightly better, no help would be necessary but your donations have really saved me. Thank you once more!

I also couldn’t thank you sooner because there’s been a slight problem with WordPress. I couldn’t edit some of the older posts, everything was working really wonky and the worst thing is that some finds/posts that I pre-scheduled were deleted. That’s why there’s been fewer downloads these day. Everything should be working fine now, though.

Another thing I wanted to let you all know about is that Spring4Sims is now 2 years old! Two years is quite a lot if you consider posting new things (almost) every day. It’s so great to have such large audience that now includes 150+ subscribers via RSS feeds and more than three thousand visitors every day or up to four thousand on weekends. Thanks to everyone who supports my site and visits it. It makes me very happy! *makes the Smustle dance*

My timing for some of the posts / finds published last few days are not the freshest (that’s why I said they’re slightly rotten), I know. I’ve had so much work to do and didn’t have too much time to concentrate on new finds, but don’t worry, they’ll follow soon.

Another thing is that I’m having problems to find more TS2 stuff. Are there any new TS2 finds I’m missing, something shiny and new? Let me know in the comments. I try to do the finds fifty-fifty, but sometime’s it’s just not possible. Sorry for those who are looking forwards to downloading something for TS2.

My RSS is cluttered again with new downloads, I feel just way too tired to post anything today. I went to see MIKA in Vienna this Monday, didn’t sleep too much (I went to bed at 3.00 AM) and I had to finish my term paper on Tuesday, so I slept really just for a couple of hours. It’s not like I’m complaining, I just need to take some rest today.

BTW the concert was fantastic! Any fans of MIKA out there?

It’s Saturday morning and I’m lucky to say that I have finally no problem to get up at 8 AM and I don’t feel tired. University gives me one good thing: it makes me very tired which has finally broken my bad sleeping habit or disorder, whatever it was.

The bad news is that I have too much work right now. (It’s not like I want you to feel sorry for me, definitely not.) But the worst thing of all? When you know you can’t play The Sims just because it’s the Saturday morning, because you have to write a seminar paper. That’s definitely not a good thing for Saturday morning, right?

My question is: What do you do on Suturday mornings? Do you play The Sims? Or do you do something different?
