The official site brings some more info on The Sims 3 Late Night. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

Interactive high-rises allow players to finally view the world from the top floor of a towering building. There is no better way to convey wealth in a game all about being somebody than a glamorous rooftop party amidst the evening skyline. Penthouses can be filled with luxury objects such as hot tubs and your Sim’s every whim tended to by their butler.

I had no time to post these links a few days ago, but if you still didn’t read the new information, I’m sure you’ll find it useful. There’s more info on apartment buildings in Late Night. They won’t really work as in The Sims 2 Apartment Life, Sims will live ‘alone’ in the apartment building–your active Sims are the ONLY ones who really live there. Otherwise it’s pretty much the same.

More info on vamps and everything else can be found in this summary. Sims will have subways, how cool is that?!

Angie Newman, a Community Representative, gave more info to GamesRadar on vampires:

You have to find a vampire in the world, befriend it, and then ask it to turn you into a vampire. You can then turn other Sims into vampires. Late Night also includes a new Blood Line system, which will let you pass your vampirism onto your offspring. So if a vampire and a vampire mate, it will for sure be a vampire baby. But if a vampire and a non-vampire mate, it might be a vampire or it might be a Sim. There’s no half-vampire, half-Sim babies.

And what will you feed on once you’ve become a creature of the night? They quench their thirst by eating plasma packs, drinking plasma from other Sims, or growing rare and awesome plasma fruits.

It’s here, guys! The new expansion pack is called Late Night and here’s the trailer:

I was able to spot these few things:

• skyscrapers–let’s see if they’ll be real!,
• real night life with all the sparkling lights,
• performance on keybord for tips,
• a celebrity Sim (new career?),
• paparazzos (new career?),
• a vampire–see her blue skin and red eyes?,
• new pubs etc.,
• Sims might be able to blow bubbles again,
• new drinks and shaking techniques,
• Superstar-like performances in community lots,
• a hot tub.

The bad news: it’s going to kill my computer. Anyways, what do you think? Love it or leave it?

Thank you guys for letting me know about the new rumors! There’s still no official word from EA Games, but it seems the new expansion pack for The Sims 3 is going to be named After Dark. The title really makes me think of good ol’ Nightlife (although now I think about it, it was my second least favorite expansion pack after University). Perhaps it could be about… uhm nightlife or maybe even some supernatural creatures? Let me guess: vampires! ZOMG!

Yes, I want vamps so bad. The whole world is crazy about them right now, I believe EA Games could embrace this fact as well and take it as a good marketing trick. Which makes me think about the whole rumor thing–was there even a single rumor that was proven false later? I can’t think of any. I think they’re releasing these hoaxes on purpose so people would talk about the new EPs more. Whatever the case, I was crossing my fingers for pets. Well, maybe next time. Meanwhile let me get excited about vampires!
