I think plasticbox has already made a few great fixes for lights in TS2 (I’m too lazy to check it, sorry) and now the turn has come to door lights in TS3. All fixed with new replacements should work like brand-new stuff. Awesome!

W suggested me to post these great underwear/defaults, so I’m partly doing him a favor, but at the same time I think it’s something so cool that everyone should definitely know about. Yes, most of us don’t like the terrible Maxis textures. Now they look delicious!

This might be a bit unusual, but here are some defaults for your cute little penguins. Honestly, I don’t remember how the original eyes looked liked, but I really like these–they look enough natural to me and I think that’s quite important.

Looking for new Maxis-match default replacements for brows? Look no further than to strange’s blog. I really think these are awesome enough to make you and your Sims happy.

Yumedust’s Eye Love eyeset is probably one of the more popular ones. But what I hear a lot of people complain about (and the reason I stopped using them) is the “black blob of doom” that happens when a sim’s eyes have too dark of a sclera, and they make a face like those pictured. However, I was absolutely tickled to find this set – it’s the same eyes, but on a lighter sclera (by Anva)! So for those of you who really enjoy sims’ “crazyfaces”, this is the eyeset for you!

While this list does have a bunch of Anglo-Saxon names, I also threw in Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Indian, Arabic, Hebrew/Biblical, French, Irish, German, Polish, Swedish/Dutch, Italian, Greek–pretty much everything you can possibly think of. You will get some funky combinations with this mod, so if you don’t like some of the things you get with the Maxis pool (like Solveig Chin), it probably isn’t for you. As simple as it might be, the creator of this download wanted the Maxis roof trims to be white, not gray. And voilà, here it comes: new defaults for all roofs except Bon Voyage.

This is s mix-and-match set of default skintones made using Ninika’s Lovesong, which is absolutely gorgeous and which you can find here. You get to choose between 2 shades per default, so choose wisely, young padawan.

These are the best defaults ever! Sphinx has made some replacements from Anva’s makeup and replaced the base-game and OFB eyeshadows. The best thing is they look perfect on both light and dark skintones.

Now I’m not sure what is cuter – wheter the baby or the clothes s/he’s wearing. Oh, they have so nice prints: small teddy bear or even a UFO. 

These are recolours of my default override mesh. Place the mesh and one recolour of the outfit in your Downloads folder. All of your babies will then wear this outfit.

Now I’m a little confused with HP’s description of this download, but as far as I understand it, the mesh for “Matched Mismatched Eyes“ now uses the Maxis base-game eyes. So, if you have any default replacements, they should be replaced. Did I get it right? I think I’ll have to find out in the game.

Anything for your fashion-conscious teens: there are new replacemets for the Free Time outfits, but they also come in a non-default version. Download which you like better!

Looking for some real money to pay with? Then you can get some 1, 5 or 10 dollar replacements for Simoleons. Choose only one file!

Should I start with part that I love the new Lyra eyes by Novemberlove or just skip this and say something like “hey, I shouldn’t beg creators for new CC, because then they really make it for me”… yay, I’m so amazed! Big thanks to November love who turned the eyes into default replacements and with them, she brings some great Spring wallpapers. :love:

I really don’t like hate the Maxis swimwear for males. It’s so… ugh, ugly! And you know that I really like some of Maxis’ objects and Maxis-match a lot, right? Well, here’s some better option – these default replacements will really do the thing and look much nicer. Thanks, Charlie!

It’s been some time since we had here some really good default replacements. I’ve been looking for some and Strange_tomato (yes, again – she should make the Finds, not me, haha) pointed out the ultimate default replacement Maxis-match eyes ever! Of course, not all are pictured. You can choose from five different colors for each eyecolor, plus, there are eyes for all of your creatorures like Werewolves, Vamps etc. Definitely a great piece of work worth having in your Downloads folder!

Maxis put these fetching medical scrubs in the basegame, then hid them and dressed our Sims in big ol’ coveralls instead. I can’t imagine why. So here are some default-replacement mods, yay! With these mods installed, your medical interns & nurses will wear scrubs to work instead of those big ol’ coveralls. 

Honestly, I don’t even remember these medical scrubs from the game! They might be good for storytellers, though.

Do you also think that Bigfoot looks a little like “furry human”? Want to change that? Now you can – The Sims Zone brings the ultimate default replacement that will make him look more like a wild animal!

Wow. I’m so amazed by these eyes! They look so real and so nice! They come in 12 colors and there’s a default replacement set, too. A worthy download, isn’t it? Get them here!

Sims Crossing brings really nice downloads: there are some cute default replacements for Maxis plates, new Halloween lot and a new food: hot-dogs with French fries.

And last, but not least for today, here’s comes and update by Babbyebe Sims. I have no idea which one I will use because they all look so good! Just don’t forget you can choose only one! Visit Babbyebe Sims to download!

The second part of HystericalParoxysm’s default replacements will modify female clothes from base game (but there are a few Nightlife skins, too). She’s managed to make the shirts longer, pants higher and blazers warmer since she put some tees under it (see picture above). If you also find Maxis clothes unwearable, get the default replacements here!

Maxis has made a whole bunch of nice outfits for The Sims 2 Apartment Life, but because most of them would not be so wearable in real life – they show bellies and who wears stuff like that all the time? And so HystericalParoxysm, who we all :love: has made a lot of default replacements that will hide your female’s bellies. (Apartment Life only.)

Lovely.

Spookymuffin from InSIMenator has created a new default replacement for very evil witches. It’s based on one of Enayla’s newest skintones – Pixie Colors. The replacement is available for both genders from teens up; you’ll need to register to download it. (Apartment Life only.)

And here’s something that will make your males feel comfortable during their sport activities. These great Trackpants come in three different version (Apartment Life required):

The file labeled “DEFAULT REPLACEMENT” is a default-replacement version.

The file labeled “RECATEGORIZER” moves the defaults from the Everyday category to the Athletic category. You can use that with the painty Maxis outfits too if you want.

The file with no “BIG BOLD CAPS” is a normal custom non-default recolour, Athletics only.

Apartment Life is out for only for two days and it seems like quite a lot people don’t like the skintone of the very evil witches. I don’t like them either. At least HystericalParoxysm has created a mod that will make Good and Evil Witches use their regular skintones. Hurray!

Sirona Sims has turned the Ephemera skintones into default replacements. They look really nice and are a bit lighter than skintones by Maxis. Get them here!

Cry-Wolf has created the cutest pet ever – a donkey! Be aware though – it will replace the neon green curly coat for dogs!

Fanseelamb has noticed a difference between different hair recolors of Maxis Bob Hair for toddlers and fixed the fringe the way it was supposed to look.

Are you tired of that ugly sportswear for females by Maxis? So am I! Truly, is there anyone who really likes them? Not sure, but if you don’t, there are some brand-new default replacements. And they look much better!

Freaky Kiss updates after quite a long time and brings new updates: one outfit for adult females, outfits for teens and default replacement eyes.

SironaSims has created a medium skintone that will override the original Maxis’ medium skintone.

Plasticbox has released a great override for lamps by Maxis. The download will change the amount of light that comes through the lamps, but also the textures and meshes are changed to look more useful. Well done! You’ll need CEP to make it work.
