Yeah, I couldn’t holdmyself anymore. And they also say: work’s not a rabbit, it won’t run away from you.

I really don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. It’s good because at least something is working, bad because I could save more traits if I knew this earlier.

Nevertheless, I’m slowly getting all traits back. I have done the whole Sunset Valley, visited one lot from another to use enabletestingcheats true, SHIFT-click the active Sims and add their previous traits I found here. Took a while but it was definitely worth it.

The problem is that you can’t add traits to non-active Sims. And it’s a tiny little problem, because as far as I know, there are a few NPCs in the ‘hoods (like burglars and maids, they don’t actually live anywhere, or at least I didn’t find them anywhere). Another problem is that (I think, I’m not 100 per cent sure right now) that you can’t play the the Sims in China, France or Egypt.

One of the ways would be to add them to your family, which is possible with enabletestingcheats true, but then I couldn’t get the Sims back to their houses. So, I’m pretty much lost here.

Do you have any ideas how to solve this? Is there any mod for adding/editing traits of non-active Sims? I searched MTS but no luck so far…

The bad news is that I have too much work right now. (It’s not like I want you to feel sorry for me, definitely not.) But the worst thing of all? When you know you can’t play The Sims just because it’s the Saturday morning, because you have to write a seminar paper. That’s definitely not a good thing for Saturday morning, right?

My question is: What do you do on Suturday mornings? Do you play The Sims? Or do you do something different?

Here’s a little mop of short tousled hair for boys of all ages. This cute style suits all sorts of faces, as the pictures below hopefully display. The hair comes in 8 colours + grey for elders. You must install the black hair in order for the elder grey to show up. All hairs are binned, family-linked, compressorized, and clearly named.

Tees for toddlers

I wanted/needed more paintings and/or posters in my game, preferably ones that didn’t have a separate mesh for each recolor, so I did some myself. I used Aikea’s mesh from her Clean Your Drives Daily set, which isn’t needed, but is recommended. Note: All recolors are together in ONE .package file and are separated from Aikea’s mesh. The cost is $159 and the thumbnail contains the image on the left in the main preview. Enjoy!

In The Sims 2, pets were great, because you could customize them. I made quite a few versions of my cat Caesar, what a great fun. The only problem with the expansion pack was that it didn’t add too much new stuff for the game. It was like: here’s a cat, here’s a dog. Should be enough. Confident?

But now I realized I really miss pets. Can you imagine how much more alive would the towns in TS3 be if we had pets? There would be countless options: you could walk your dog or go jogging with it, there would be contests in the parks, maybe you could gift them to other Sims, but most of all, the towns would look more fun, real, cute and definitely more alive.

I’m sure there will be an EP with new pets. It was one of the best EPs for TS1 and TS2, so we can pretty much expect them in TS3, too. What do you expect from it?

It’s Anto’s BoA hair for males, made after a poke by sakurajane! I suppose it could work for…hmm… j-rockers and the like, yes?

It uses a small edit of the Nouk retexture I did of the original female mesh, so it includes 12 colours and that seaweed indigo I like to clutter my black bin with. As always, it works for all ages and the files are compressed. Polycount’s about 20000+, from before he slapped his 3d-program into submission, which is high.

In The Sims 2, when your female Sim got pregnant, it wasn’t sure for 100% percent what sex will the baby have. When the birth came, the game would choose the sex of the baby right that moment. So that means you could play with your Sim and when the birth came, you could have either a babygirl or a babyboy–and if you didn’t like the sex of the baby, you could just load your saved game, wait till the birth came again and see whether it’s going to be a girl or a boy. And try it like this until you weren’t confident with the sex of the baby.

In The Sims 3, things have changed: when your female Sim gets pregnant, the sex of the baby is chosen right that moment. When you get her into the hospital (or give the birth at home), the sex of the baby will always be the same. So if you save your game while your Sim is already pregnant, the sex of the baby will remain.

I noticed this because I’m always very particual about my babygirls and babyboys in the game. I’m trying to have Morgana Wolff a babyboy, but no luck so far. She’s already had like four babygirls but still no babyboy. And she can’t have that many kids! Lol. So I deleted them. Poor babies, I know. It’s a genocide. But she also wants a babyboy really bad, so what else am I supposed to do rather than try?

Oh and now let’s try it again! *crosses her fingers*

UPDATED: So, first of all thanks for your suggestions! I googled the pregnancy and fruits and found out what you were saying: if Sims eat apples, they will have boys, if they eat watermeloon, they will have girls.

But I was still partly right: the sex of the baby is chosen right after your femlales get pregnant. But then it depends on what kind of fruit your females eat. Morgana didn’t eat at all (because I cheat and modify her motives), so she was just ‘unlucky’ to have all those girls. But from now on, she’s going to eat apples through her pregnacy.

Oh and one more thing: if your game is updated with patch 1.3 the affect of fruits will no longer have affect in meals (like pancakes). That means your Sims will have to eat raw fruits to have either a babygirl or a babyboy. Hope that helps.

I’m not a storywriter, but let me know what you think. Oh and the bedroom looks terrible. For some reason, the wall unintentionally matches Thornton’s suit. Eww. I’ll have to redecorate…

Morgana’s life was pretty much perfect. She was stunning, she had the perfect husband, house, car and the career. And she also had what she loved the most: a beautiful child, another on the way and enough money for what she loved the most — art.

The only problem she’s been trying to figure out was her husband. She had a feeling he’s been avoiding her ever since she’s got pregnant again…

And when he answerd the phone, she had this feeling he was speaking in a different language. He was talking about something she shouldn’t know…

… and just when she turned her head to meet his eyes, she knew what was the thing.

Or better said–what were the things.

The only thing Thornton was thinking about was the business.

But could her answers lie just outside the window?

Just like yesterday, she found them…

… deep within…

… in the past.

Later that day, she spent the whole evening meditating. It was the best thing she’s learnt from Jason. But when she thought of him, she new she had to end it. Then she had to embrace herself and start all over again–especially with Thornton.

Alright, I’m excited and slightly disappointed at the same time. No retail shops like in OFB. Which means no bakeries etc. Read this. Shame. BUT the good news is really exciting: the new careers will allow the players to modify the town. Like an architect / designer can create new buildings or design rooms for other families. Stylists can make Sims in the ‘hood look better or worse, depending on what you want.

So if you’re not expecting everything we had in OFB, I think you’ll be excited. Well, I’ve never really wanted to see my Sims at work, but these jobs look pretty cool. I like that the careers have a big inpact on the ‘hood. What I really do want to try is to have an inventor, detective and a stylist.
